The process
Everything I make is handmade, either wheel-thrown, hand built or slipcasted. Due to this process, please allow small variations in colors, patterns, shapes and dimensions, as well as minor defects such as pits, pores, black spots, bumps etc.
Each ceramic piece is unique and different in some way, making them perfectly imperfect. That is the beautify of handmade objects.
The production of handmade ceramics is a time consuming process and needs patience and tranquility. Normally 2 to 3 weeks is needed, from start to finish for each item. After the piece is made it dries for 1-2 days. Then it gets trimmed and must dry for a week so it is bone dry and ready for the first firing. The first firing, bisque firing, is at 950C. Afterwards the item is glazed (either dip glazed or brush glazed) with led-free, food safe glazes and fired again at 1220C-1240C. Once that process has been completed, I sand the bottom of the piece so it is smooth and will not damage any surfaces it is placed on.
How to care for the product?
All items are made of high fired stoneware (1220C-1240C), which makes them durable, watertight, dishwasher and microwave safe. I do however recommend washing them by hand.
Eco-friendly
I make every effort to use sustainable materials where possible. Furthermore, all ceramic items are made with environmentally friendly materials, from the stoneware to the glazes used.

All prices include 19% VAT. Shipping charges will be added at checkout. Tolls, taxes and other fees not indicated in the total price may apply.
Shipping
Shipping charges are calculated and added to your order at checkout.
From the time your order is placed, it takes 1-3 working days (this does not apply to Pre Orders) to prepare and pack your order before it can be shipped. I currently ship within Germany and to countries in the EU with DHL.
Breakage
Although ceramics are durable, sometimes they may break during transportation. For that reason, I take great care when packaging up your order to make sure it reaches you in one piece. Please check your package immediately upon delivery for possible breakage. If your item arrives broken please photograph the item and email me at nikoceramicstudio@gmail.com. You will be refunded the full value of your purchase, excluding shipping costs, within 3 working days.
Returns
I really hope that you are happy with any piece that you purchase from me. However, if you are not, please contact me at nikoceramicstudio@gmail.com within seven days of receiving your order. Returning items must be packed well and in their original packaging, to avoid any damages during shipping. I'm afraid I am not able to cover any of the return freight costs, therefore any refund given will have the original freight costs deducted. The return parcel is the responsibility of the customer until it reaches my studio, so please obtain proof of return shipping. Refunds will be issued once I have received and inspected returned items.
